The review
Sugo does one thing and does it at volume: Italian-American comfort food, red sauce, big portions, no reservations. The queue outside on Bloor tells you most of what you need to know.
The chicken parm is the icon — it arrives the size of a hubcap and comfortably feeds two. Vodka rigatoni is the other order, pink and rich and entirely unbothered about being fashionable. Garlic bread first, always, and then a second round of it.
Honest notes: no reservations means a genuine wait at peak. The room is tight and loud. Nothing here is subtle, and none of it is trying to be.
