The review

The Kingsway is a neighbourhood with money and, for a long time, not much to spend it on at dinner. Eden fixed that. It is a proper trattoria — handmade pasta, a wine list with actual depth, service that is warm without being performative.

Cacio e pepe is the dish to order because it is the hardest to fake: three ingredients, emulsified or not, and here it is. The veal milanese is the other reliable, pounded thin and fried clean, cut through by a sharp arugula salad. Start with the burrata and let someone else pick the wine.

Honest notes: this is occasion pricing, and value is where it scores lowest. It books out on weekends and the room gets tight when full. Worth planning around rather than walking into.

What to order

Must order

Cacio e Pepe

Emulsified properly. Three ingredients, nowhere to hide, and they don’t.

Verdict

Book it, order the cacio e pepe, and take the sommelier’s advice on the red.
