The review
Terroni's Adelaide room is a converted courthouse, and it remains one of the more remarkable dining spaces in the city — high ceilings, stone, and a bar that looks like it has been there far longer than it has.
The pizza is southern-Italian thin rather than Neapolitan puffy, and the Sofia, with spicy salami, is the benchmark. Spaghettini vodka is the pasta the place runs on. Start with melanzane for the table.
Honest notes: the no-substitutions policy is real, printed on the menu, and enforced without embarrassment. The main hall is loud. Book, or expect to wait. If the policy annoys you, that is rather the point.
