The review
Richmond Station is the restaurant you send people to when they ask for somewhere good and you do not want to gamble. It has been open more than a decade and I have never had a bad meal in it, which is a rarer sentence than it sounds.
The Stn. Burger is the famous thing and deserves to be — ground in house, no architecture, just fat and salt and a soft bun. The beet tortellini is the other regular order, and it converts people who did not come for a vegetarian dish. The whole-animal specials are where the kitchen shows off; ask what came in.
Honest notes: it is a basement, so there is no daylight and no view. It fills up midweek and closes on Sundays. Neither has ever stopped anyone.
